What happened
- HCL Technologies told the exchanges on 28 September that HCLSoftware will acquire Robotiq.ai, and issued a press release the same evening.
- Business Standard reported the deal at €9 million, about ₹98 crore, for 100% of the equity, bought through HCL Technologies Austria GmbH, a step-down subsidiary.
- It reported that Robotiq.ai had revenue of €1.4 million in 2025, up from €0.9 million in 2024 and 2023, and that completion is expected by the end of November 2026.
- Robotiq.ai sells enterprise robotic process automation software to large banks, insurers and telecom companies.
Why it matters
Robotiq.ai's revenue of €1.4 million in 2025 is the only financial figure Business Standard reported for it.
Good to know: Robotic process automation software copies repetitive computer tasks, such as moving data between systems, so that they run without a person doing each step.
