About Stocks in News Today
One page, every trading morning: each Indian stock with fresh news, what happened in plain English, and a link to the original source.
Why this exists
Company news arrives overnight in dozens of exchange filings and press releases. Most people don't have time to read them before the market opens at 9:15 AM. We read them for you and write down what happened, briefly and without spin.
How we pick stories
A stock makes the list when there is new, sourced news that could change the story of the business. We group it by type:
- Results
- Orders
- Corporate actions
- Deals & funding
- Regulatory
- Business updates
- Management
- Listings
“The big three” are the stories we judge most significant, based on how large the news is for that company and how unusual it is. The order is never a prediction of how a share price will move.
We do not publish:
- Buy, sell or hold calls, price targets or trading tips, from us or from anyone else.
- Rumours or social-media claims without a primary source.
- Paid promotions of any kind.
How it's written
Our software collects the overnight exchange filings and company news, and AI tools help draft short summaries. Each briefing is then edited into plain English before it is published, and every story links to its original source so you can check it yourself.
Sources and corrections
Every story links to where the news came from, usually an NSE or BSE filing or the company itself. If we get something wrong, we fix it and say so at the bottom of the story.
Who runs it
Stocks in News Today is an independent site from the maker of NineFifteenAM, where we write about building an algo trading bot for the Indian market.
